Tornado, the first new main line steam locomotive to be built in Britain for almost 50 years, hauled her first train from Scotland on Saturday 7th March 2009, organised by railtour promoter Past-Time Rail. This train, The North Briton, will be hauled by Tornado from Edinburgh’s Waverley station to York and will be Tornado’s first historic departure from Scotland’s capital.
